Dana McKinney (Mrs Mac)
Director & Licensed Educator
Dana is the Program Director & Licensed Kindermusik Educator of Kindermusik of Jonesboro serving Northeast Arkansas since 1996.
She is a graduate of Arkansas State University, where she holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communications and also studied Vocal Music at ASU for 3 years.
Dana has been selected as a member of the Kindermusik International Top Program since 2001 which is ranked among the 5% of all Kindermusik programs worldwide!
She resides in Jonesboro with her husband Rick. They have two adult children, Rachel and Cam.
Licensed Kindermusik Educator
Ashley has taught Kindermusik classes at School since 2013. She received her Kindermusik Educator License in May 2016.
Ashley graduated from Motlow State Community College and holds an Associates degree in Education.
She has many years of experience working with children. Ashley teaches Kindermusik classes at St. Mark's, The Learning Center, First Presbyterian,
and Montessori school. She is also a very talented photographer. Ashley resides in Paragould with her husband Jamie. They have two children,
Mattie Claire and Jamison.
Liscensed Kindermusik Educator
Sarah Martin is a 2017 graduate of Valley View High School and a current Music Education Major at Arkansas State University. She sings in the ASU Concert Choir, the Women's University Singers, and has been a part of the ASU Opera Productions. She is also employed in the Kid's Department as an intern at Central Baptist Church. She leads worship for the 3rd-6th graders kid's worship service. She also teaches private voice lessons to junior high students.
Sarah received her Kindermusik License in September 2019.
Dr. Amanda Wilton joined the instrumental staff as a violin and viola instructor for Kindermusik of Jonesboro in September 2020.
Dr. Wilton has a DMA for the Univ. of Houston, MM from Univ. of Maryland, BM, Univ. of
Missouri-St. Louis in Violin and Viola Performance and Pedagogy. She has 10 years of experience in teaching children and youth in violin and viola instruction both privately, in summer camps and in youth orchestras. She enjoys helping students achieve their goals and becoming proficient playing the violin and viola. She has also played professionally in many esteemed orchestras all over the U.S. for the past 14 years. She is available to teach beginners and intermediate players ages, 6 and up. Dr. Wilton and her husband, Dr. Suren Petrosyan reside in Jonesboro.
Amanda A. Wilton
Carolyn Capparella-Simoes is a talented and experienced instrumentalist and instructor. She has a Bachelor of Music in Clarinet and Bachelor of Arts in Piano Performance from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She has recently taught at The Cincinnati School of Music as a music teacher in piano, clarinet and violin instructor to students of all ages. She has also taught at St. Annes Catholic School in Cincinnati in PK3-8th grade. She is also a Drums Alive Certified Instructor. She and her husband, Nairam Simoes, reside in Jonesboro, AR.
Kari is a graduate of Arkansas State University, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education. She began her career as an educator teaching Pre-k and Kindergarten. She also taught first grade at
Visual and Performing Arts for 7 years. Currently she is a stay at home mom and homeschooling her first grader. Both of her children have attended Kindermusik classes since they were 6 weeks old. She resides in Jonesboro with her husband, Blake, and 2 children: Caleb (6 years) and Blakely (2 years)
